Brawler

Brawler

One who is inclined to fight.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a BRAWLER, not covetous. ( 1 Timothy 1:1 Isaiah 3:2-3 )

Spoken of the quarrelsome woman; "a contentious (the King James Version "brawling") woman" (Proverbs 21:9). He who seeks the office of a bishop should be "no brawler" (paroinos the King James Version "given to wine," Titus 1:7); "not contentious" (the King James Version "not a brawler," 1 Timothy 3:3; Titus 3:2).
