Therefore the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah from the
Lord
The word of Jehovah the Son, from Jehovah the Father, because of this transgression of the princes and people, and as soon as it was committed by them; for it is plain, from ( Jeremiah 34:21 ) , that it was before the Chaldean army returned to Jerusalem, after its departure from it: saying;
as follows:

10 Or tutti i principi, e tutto il popolo che si erano convenuti in questo patto, di rimandare in libertà ciascuno il suo servo, e la sua serva, per non tenerli più in servitù, ubbidirono, e li rimandarono.

11 Ma poi appresso fecero di nuovo tornare i servi, e le serve, che aveano rimandati in libertà, e li sforzarono ad esser loro servi, e serve.

12 Laonde la parola del Signore fu dal Signore indirizzata a Geremia, dicendo:

13 Così ha detto il Signore, l’Iddio d’Israele: Io feci patto co’ padri vostri, quando li trassi fuor del paese di Egitto, della casa di servitù, dicendo:

14 Al termine di sette anni rimandi ciascun di voi il suo fratello Ebreo, che si sarà venduto a te; servati sei anni, poi rimandalo in libertà d’appresso a te; ma i vostri padri non mi hanno ubbidito, e non hanno inchinato il loro orecchio.
