John 7:9

When he had said these words unto them
Had exhorted them to go up to the feast, and told them that he should not go yet, and the reason of it:

he abode [still] in Galilee;
and went not up with his brethren, nor at all at present; showing hereby a firmness and resolution of mind, not using lightness of speech; and his words being not yea, and nay, but all of a piece, and by which he abode.

7 Il mondo non vi può odiare, ma egli mi odia, perciocchè io rendo testimonianza d’esso, che le sue opere son malvage.

8 Salite voi a questa festa; io non salgo ancora a questa festa, perciocchè il mio tempo non è ancora compiuto.

9 E dette loro tali cose, rimase in Galilea.

10 ORA, dopo che i suoi fratelli furon saliti alla festa, allora egli ancora vi salì, non palesemente, ma come di nascosto.

11 I Giudei adunque lo cercavano nella festa, e dicevano: Ov’è colui?
