And he put them all out
Of the room, where the maiden lay, all the mourners and pipers; all excepting the parents of the child, and his three disciples, This clause is left out in the Vulgate Latin, and Ethiopic versions; nor was it in two of Beza's ancient copies, and in two of Stephens's; but in the rest, and in the other versions:

and took hereby the hand, and called, saying;
in the Syriac language, "Talitha cumi", as in ( Mark 5:41 )

53 Ed essi si ridevano di lui, sapendo ch’ella era morta.
54 Ma egli, avendo messi fuori tutti, e presala per la mano, gridò, dicendo: Fanciulla, levati.
55 E il suo spirito ritornò in lei, ed ella si levò prontamente; ed egli comandò che le si desse da mangiare.
56 E il padre, e la madre di essa, sbigottirono. E Gesù comandò loro, che non dicessero ad alcuno ciò ch’era stato fatto.
