Mark 14:5

For it might have been sold for more than three hundred
pence
Which, was to the value of our money nine pounds, seven shillings, and sixpence:

and given to the poor;
which was thought to be a better way of expending it, than by pouring it on the head of Christ:

and they murmured against her:
that she should lavish so much money away in such an imprudent manner; they reproved her for it, expressed much resentment at it, and were very angry with, her upon the account of it; (See Gill on Matthew 26:8), (See Gill on Matthew 26:9).

3 OR essendo egli in Betania, in casa di Simone lebbroso, mentre era a tavola, venne una donna, avendo un alberello d’olio odorifero di nardo schietto, di gran prezzo; e, rotto l’alberello, glielo versò sopra il capo.
4 Ed alcuni indegnarono tra sè stessi, e dissero: Perchè si è fatta questa perdita di quest’olio?
5 Poichè si sarebbe potuto venderlo più di trecento denari, e quelli darli a’ poveri. E fremevano contro a lei.
6 Ma Gesù disse: Lasciatela; perchè le date voi noia? ella ha fatta una buona opera inverso me.
7 Perciocchè, sempre avete i poveri con voi; e quando vorrete, potete far loro del bene; ma me non mi avete sempre.
