Numbers 34:15

The two tribes and the half tribe
The tribes of Reuben and Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh:

have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho,
eastward, toward the sun rising;
that is, they received the grant of it there, even in the plains of Moab, opposite Jericho, which lay to the east of the land of Canaan.

13 E Mosè comandò, e disse a’ figliuoli di Israele: Quest’è il paese, del quale voi partirete la possessione a sorte; il quale il Signore ha comandato che si dia a nove tribù e mezza;

14 conciossiachè la tribù de’ Rubeniti, secondo le lor nazioni paterne, e la tribù de’ Gaditi, secondo le lor nazioni paterne, e la metà della tribù di Manasse, abbiano ricevuta la loro eredità.

15 Queste due tribù e mezza hanno ricevuta la loro eredità di qua dal Giordano di Gerico, verso oriente.

16 Il Signore parlò ancora a Mosè, dicendo:

17 Questi sono i nomi degli uomini che vi partiranno l’eredità del paese: Eleazaro Sacerdote, e Giosuè, figliuolo di Nun.
