And he cametoEphesus,andleft them there:but he himselfentered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews.

Whentheydesired him to tarrylonger*timewiththem, he consentednot;

Butbadethemfarewell, saying, Imust by all meanskeep this feast that comethinJerusalem:but I will returnagainuntoyou, if Godwill. And he sailedfromEphesus.

And when he had landedatCaesarea, and gone up, andsaluted the church, he went downtoAntioch.

And after he had spentsometime there, he departed, and went over all the country of GalatiaandPhrygia in order,strengtheningall the disciples.

And a certainJewnamedApollos,born at Alexandria, an eloquentman, and mighty*in the scriptures,cametoEphesus.

This manwas instructed in the way of the Lord;and being fervent in the spirit, he spakeandtaughtdiligently the things of the Lord,knowingonly the baptism of John.

Andhebegan to speak boldlyin the synagogue:whomwhenAquilaandPriscilla had heard, they tookhim unto them, andexpounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

And when he was disposed to passintoAchaia, the brethrenwrote, exhorting the disciples to receivehim:who, when he was come, helped themmuch which had believedthroughgrace:
