And it came to passinthosedays, that he went outinto a mountain to pray, and continued all night*inprayer to God.

Andwhen it wasday, he called unto him hisdisciples:andofthem he chosetwelve,whomalso he namedapostles;

Simon,* (whom he alsonamed Peter,) andAndrewhisbrother,JamesandJohn,PhilipandBartholomew,

MatthewandThomas,Jamesthe son of Alphaeus,andSimoncalledZelotes,

And Judas the brother of James,andJudasIscariot,whichalsowas the traitor.

And he came downwiththem, and stoodin the plain*, and the company of hisdisciples,and a greatmultitude of people out ofallJudaeaandJerusalem,and from the sea coast of TyreandSidon,whichcame to hearhim,and to be healedoftheirdiseases;

And they that were vexedwithuncleanspirits:and they were healed.

And the wholemultitudesought to touchhim:for there wentvirtueout of him,andhealed them all.

Andhe lifted uphiseyesonhisdisciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor:foryoursis the kingdom of God.

Blessed are ye that hungernow:for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weepnow:for ye shall laugh.
22
Blessed are ye, whenmen shall hateyou,andwhen they shall separateyou from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast outyournameasevil, for the Son of man'ssake.
23
Rejoice yeinthatday,and leap for joy: for,behold, yourreward is greatinheaven:forin the like mannerdidtheirfathers unto the prophets.

Butwoe unto you that are rich!for ye have receivedyourconsolation.
25
Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laughnow!for ye shall mournandweep.
26
Woe unto you,whenallmen shall speakwell of you!forso*didtheirfathers to the false prophets.
27
But I say unto youwhichhear, Loveyourenemies,dogood to them whichhateyou,
28
Bless them that curseyou,andprayfor them which despitefully useyou.

And unto him that smiteththeeon the one cheekofferalso the other;andhim that taketh awaythyclokeforbidnot to take thy coatalso.
30
Give to every man that asketh of thee;andof him that taketh away thy goodsask them notagain.
31
Andas ye wouldthatmen should do to you,doyealso to themlikewise.
