Andhisdisciplesansweredhim, From whencecan a mansatisfythese men with breadherein the wilderness?

And he askedthem,How manyloaves have ye?And they said, Seven.

And he commanded the people to sit downon the ground:and he took the sevenloaves, and gave thanks, and brake, andgave to hisdisciplesto set before them; and they did set them before the people.

And they had a few small fishes:and he blessed, and commanded to setthemalsobefore them.

So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was leftsevenbaskets.

And they that had eatenwereabout four thousand:and he sentthemaway.

Andstraightway he enteredinto a shipwithhisdisciples, and cameinto the parts of Dalmanutha.

And the Pharisees came forth, andbegan to question with him,seekingofhim a signfromheaven,temptinghim.

And he sighed deeply in hisspirit, and saith, Whydoththisgeneration seek after a sign?verily I say unto you, There shall nosign be given unto thisgeneration.

And he leftthem, and enteringinto the shipagaindepartedto the other side.

Now the disciples had forgotten to takebread,neither*had they in the shipwiththem more thanoneloaf.

And he chargedthem,saying, Take heed, bewareof the leaven of the Pharisees,and of the leaven of Herod.

And they reasonedamongthemselves,saying, It is because we havenobread.
17
And when Jesusknew it, he saith unto them,Why reason ye, because ye havenobread? perceive ye not yet,neitherunderstand? have yeyourheartyethardened?

Havingeyes, see yenot?andhavingears, hear yenot?and do yenotremember?

When I brake the fiveloavesamong five thousand, how manybasketsfull of fragments took ye up? They say unto him,Twelve.

Andwhen the sevenamong four thousand, how manybasketsfull of fragments took ye up?And they said, Seven.

And he said unto them,How is it that ye donotunderstand?

And he comethtoBethsaida;and they bring a blind man unto him,andbesoughthimtotouchhim.

And he took the blind man by the hand, and ledhim out of the town;and when he had spitonhiseyes, and put his hands upon him, he askedhimif he sawought.

And he looked up, and said*, I seemenas*trees,walking.

After that he put his handsagainuponhiseyes,andmadehim look up: and he was restored, andsaw every manclearly.

And he senthimawaytohishouse,saying, Neithergo into the town,nortell it to anyin the town.

AndJesus went out, andhisdisciples,into the towns of CaesareaPhilippi:andby the way he askedhisdisciples,saying unto them,Whomdomensay that Iam?

And they answered, John the Baptist:butsome say, Elias;andothers,One of the prophets.

Andhesaith unto them,Butwhomsayye that Iam?AndPeteranswereth and saith unto him,Thouart the Christ.

And he chargedthemthat they should tell no manofhim.

And he began to teachthem,that the Son of manmustsuffer many things,and be rejectedof the elders,and of the chief priests,andscribes,and be killed, andafterthreedays rise again.

And he spake that sayingopenly.AndPetertookhim, and began to rebukehim.

But when he had turned aboutandlooked on hisdisciples, he rebukedPeter,saying, Get theebehindme,Satan:for thou savourestnot the things that be of God,but the things that be of men.

And when he had called the people unto him withhisdisciples also, he said unto them,Whosoeverwillcomeafterme, let him denyhimself,and take uphiscross,andfollowme.

Forwhosoever*willsavehislife shall loseit;butwhosoevershalllosehislifefor my sakeand the gospel's, the same shall saveit.

Forwhat shall it profit a man,if he shall gain the wholeworld,andlose his ownsoul?
38
Whosoever*therefore shall be ashamed of meand of mywordsinthisadulterousandsinfulgeneration; of himalsoshall the Son of man be ashamed, when he comethin the glory of hisFatherwith the holyangels.
