10 Es él quien edificará el templo para honrar mi nombre. Él será mi hijo, y yo seré su padre. Además, afirmaré el trono de su reino sobre Israel para siempre”.

1 Chronicles 22:10

He shall build an house for my name
For the worship of God, and for his honour and glory:

and he shall be my son, and I will be his father;
see ( 2 Samuel 7:13 2 Samuel 7:14 ) and which is applied to Christ, ( Hebrews 1:5 )

and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever;
that is, for a long time in his posterity; and which will have its fulfilment in Christ, his antitype, in the utmost sense of the expression, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his throne for ever and ever, ( Luke 1:32 Luke 1:33 ) ( Hebrews 1:8 ) .

8 pero el Señor
me dijo: “Tú has matado a muchos hombres en las batallas que has peleado. Puesto que has derramado tanta sangre ante mis ojos, no serás tú el que edifique un templo para honrar mi nombre;

9 pero tendrás un hijo que será un hombre de paz. Le daré paz con sus enemigos de todas las tierras vecinas. Su nombre será Salomón
y, durante su reinado, yo le daré a Israel paz y tranquilidad.

11 »Ahora, hijo mío, que el Señor
esté contigo y te dé éxito al seguir sus instrucciones en la edificación del templo del Señor
tu Dios.

12 Que el Señor
te dé sabiduría y entendimiento, para que obedezcas la ley del Señor
tu Dios mientras gobiernes a Israel.
