Jueces 16:22 Meaning and Commentary

Judges 16:22

Howbeit, the hair of his head began to grow again after he was
shaven.
] It began to grow immediately no doubt, as it naturally would do; but it is highly probable it grew in an extraordinary manner, and in a short time became as when it was shaved F14, as it may be rendered, and upon which his strength was renewed; not that his strength naturally lay in his hair, and so naturally increased as that grew; but he being made sensible of his sin, and repenting of it, renewed his Nazariteship, of which letting his hair grow was a token; and it pleased God, who accepted of his repentance as genuine, of his own good will and pleasure to renew his strength; particularly upon his prayer to him, after related.

20 Entonces ella gritó: «¡Sansón! ¡Los filisteos han venido a capturarte!».
Cuando se despertó, pensó: «Haré como antes y enseguida me liberaré»; pero no se daba cuenta de que el Señor
lo había abandonado.
21 Así que los filisteos lo capturaron y le sacaron los ojos. Se lo llevaron a Gaza, donde lo ataron con cadenas de bronce y lo obligaron a moler grano en la prisión.
22 Pero en poco tiempo, el cabello comenzó a crecerle otra vez.
23 Victoria final de Sansón
Entonces los gobernantes filisteos se juntaron para celebrar un gran festival, en el que ofrecían sacrificios y alababan a su dios Dagón diciendo: «¡Nuestro dios nos ha dado la victoria sobre Sansón, nuestro enemigo!».
24 Cuando el pueblo vio a Sansón, también alabó a su dios diciendo: «¡Nuestro dios nos ha entregado a nuestro enemigo! ¡El que mató a tantos de nosotros ahora está en nuestro poder!».
