4 Al oír la sentencia que el hombre de Dios pronunciaba contra el altar de Betel, el rey extendió el brazo desde el altar y dijo: «¡Agárrenlo!» Pero el brazo que había extendido contra el hombre se le paralizó, de modo que no podía contraerlo.

1 Kings 13:4

And it came to pass, when King Jeroboam heard the saying of the
man of God, who had cried against the altar in Bethel
He was highly provoked: so that he put forth his hand from the altar; on which he was burning incense:

saying, lay hold on him;
he put forth his hand, and either shook it at the prophet, threatening what he would do to him; or as beckoning to the people to seize him, and which he also expressed:

and his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he
could not pull it in again to him;
he could not move it one way nor another, but it remained in the same position, the nerves and muscles being shrunk; which was a further confirmation of the prophet's mission from God, being one of those concerning whom he says, "do my prophets no harm", and a fresh token of the certain performance of what he had said.

2 el hombre de Dios, en obediencia a la palabra del SEÑOR, gritó: «¡Altar, altar! Así dice el SEÑOR: “En la familia de David nacerá un hijo llamado Josías, el cual sacrificará sobre ti a estos sacerdotes de altares paganos que aquí queman incienso. ¡Sobre ti se quemarán huesos humanos!”»

3 Aquel mismo día el hombre de Dios ofreció una señal: «Esta es la señal que el SEÑOR les da: ¡El altar será derribado, y las cenizas se esparcirán!»

4 Al oír la sentencia que el hombre de Dios pronunciaba contra el altar de Betel, el rey extendió el brazo desde el altar y dijo: «¡Agárrenlo!» Pero el brazo que había extendido contra el hombre se le paralizó, de modo que no podía contraerlo.

5 En ese momento el altar se vino abajo y las cenizas se esparcieron, según la señal que, en obediencia a la palabra del SEÑOR, les había dado el hombre de Dios.

6 Entonces el rey le dijo al hombre de Dios:—¡Apacigua al SEÑOR tu Dios! ¡Ora por mí, para que se me cure el brazo!El hombre de Dios suplicó al SEÑOR, y al rey se le curó el brazo, quedándole como antes.
