44 Pilato, sorprendido de que ya hubiera muerto, llam贸 al centuri贸n y le pregunt贸 si hac铆a mucho que[a] hab铆a muerto.

Mark 15:44

And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead
For death, by crucifixion, was a slow lingering death; persons that were in their full strength hung a great while before they expired; and the two thieves, which were crucified with Christ, were not dead when he was:

and calling unto him the centurion;
who was set to watch him:

he asked him, whether he had been any while dead;
he inquired of him, whether he was dead, and how long he had been dead.

42 Era el d铆a de preparaci贸n (es decir, la v铆spera del s谩bado). As铆 que al atardecer,
43 Jos茅 de Arimatea, miembro distinguido del Consejo, y que tambi茅n esperaba el reino de Dios, se atrevi贸 a presentarse ante Pilato para pedirle el cuerpo de Jes煤s.
44 Pilato, sorprendido de que ya hubiera muerto, llam贸 al centuri贸n y le pregunt贸 si hac铆a mucho que hab铆a muerto.
45 Una vez informado por el centuri贸n, le entreg贸 el cuerpo a Jos茅.
46 Entonces Jos茅 baj贸 el cuerpo, lo envolvi贸 en una s谩bana que hab铆a comprado, y lo puso en un sepulcro cavado en la roca. Luego hizo rodar una piedra a la entrada del sepulcro.
