10 Pois temos ouvido como o SENHOR secou as águas do mar Vermelho perante vocês quando saíram do Egito, e o que vocês fizeram a leste do Jordão com Seom e Ogue, os dois reis amorreus que vocês aniquilaram.

Joshua 2:10

For we have heard how the Lord dried up the waters of the Red
sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt
To make a passage for them through it, to walk in as on dry land; this they had heard of and remembered, though it was forty years ago:

and what you did unto the kings of the Amorites that [were] on the
other side Jordan:
which were things more recent, done but a few months ago:

Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed;
the history of which see in ( Numbers 21:21-35 ) ; who were destroyed by them under Moses and Joshua their commanders; and Hercules, who is thought to be the same with Joshua, is by Lucian ^F7 called Ogmius, from slaying Og, as is supposed ^F8.

8 Antes de os espiões se deitarem, Raabe subiu ao terraço

9 e lhes disse: “Sei que o SENHOR deu a vocês esta terra. Vocês nos causaram um medo terrível, e todos os habitantes desta terra estão apavorados por causa de vocês.

10 Pois temos ouvido como o SENHOR secou as águas do mar Vermelho perante vocês quando saíram do Egito, e o que vocês fizeram a leste do Jordão com Seom e Ogue, os dois reis amorreus que vocês aniquilaram.

11 Quando soubemos disso, o povo desanimou-se completamente, e por causa de vocês todos perderam a coragem, pois o SENHOR, o seu Deus, é Deus em cima nos céus e embaixo na terra.

12 Jurem-me pelo SENHOR que, assim como eu fui bondosa com vocês, vocês também serão bondosos com a minha família. Deem-me um sinal seguro
