Hosea 2:4

And I will not have mercy upon her children
The posterity of the Jews in succeeding ages, until the time of their conversion comes; they persisting in the sins of their forefathers, filling up the measure of their iniquities; remaining in their obstinate rejection of the Messiah, and in the same impenitence and unbelief, and having his blood imprecated upon them: for they be the children of whoredoms;
begotten and born in whoredom, spurious and illegitimate; or that commit whoredoms; imitate their parents; are guilty of the same vices; a generation of vipers. So the Targum,

``for they are children that commit idolatry;''

retain the traditions of the elders; go about to establish their own righteousness, and reject the Messiah.

2 “Repreendam sua mãe, repreendam-na,pois ela não é minha mulher,e eu não sou seu marido.Que ela retire do rosto o sinal de adúlterae do meio dos seios a infidelidade.

3 Do contrário, eu a deixarei nuacomo no dia em que nasceu;farei dela um deserto,uma terra ressequida,e a matarei de sede.

4 Não tratarei com amor os seus filhos,porque são filhos de adultério.

5 A mãe deles foi infiel,engravidou deles e está coberta de vergonha.Pois ela disse: ‘Irei atrás dos meus amantes,que me dão comida, água,lã, linho, azeite e bebida’.

6 Por isso bloquearei o seu caminho com espinheiros;eu a cercarei de tal modo que ela não poderá encontrar o seu caminho.
