1 No juzguéis para que no seáis juzgados.

"Do not judge so that you will not be judged.
2 Porque con el juicio con que juzguéis, seréis juzgados; y con la medida con que midáis, se os medirá.

"For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.
3 ¿Y por qué miras la mota que está en el ojo de tu hermano, y no te das cuenta de la viga que está en tu propio ojo?

"Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
4 ¿O cómo puedes decir a tu hermano: "Déjame sacarte la mota del ojo", cuando la viga está en tu ojo?

"Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye?
5 ¡Hipócrita! Saca primero la viga de tu ojo, y entonces verás con claridad para sacar la mota del ojo de tu hermano.

"You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
6 No deis lo santo a los perros, ni echéis vuestras perlas delante de los cerdos, no sea que las huellen con sus patas, y volviéndose os despedacen.

"Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
7 Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y se os abrirá.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8 Porque todo el que pide, recibe; y el que busca, halla; y al que llama, se le abrirá.

"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
9 ¿O qué hombre hay entre vosotros que si su hijo le pide pan, le dará una piedra,

"Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
10 o si le pide un pescado, le dará una serpiente?

"Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?
11 Pues si vosotros, siendo malos, sabéis dar buenas dádivas a vuestros hijos, ¿cuánto más vuestro Padre que está en los cielos dará cosas buenas a los que le piden?

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
12 Por eso, todo cuanto queráis que os hagan los hombres, así también haced vosotros con ellos, porque esta es la ley y los profetas.

"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
13 Entrad por la puerta estrecha, porque ancha es la puerta y amplia es la senda que lleva a la perdición, y muchos son los que entran por ella.

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
14 Porque estrecha es la puerta y angosta la senda que lleva a la vida, y pocos son los que la hallan.

"For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
15 Cuidaos de los falsos profetas, que vienen a vosotros con vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces.

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16 Por sus frutos los conoceréis. ¿Acaso se recogen uvas de los espinos o higos de los abrojos?

"You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17 Así, todo árbol bueno da frutos buenos; pero el árbol malo da frutos malos.

"So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 Un árbol bueno no puede producir frutos malos, ni un árbol malo producir frutos buenos.

"A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19 Todo árbol que no da buen fruto, es cortado y echado al fuego.

"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20 Así que, por sus frutos los conoceréis.

"So then, you will know them by their fruits.
21 No todo el que me dice: "Señor, Señor", entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos.

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord , Lord ,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 Muchos me dirán en aquel día: "Señor, Señor, ¿no profetizamos en tu nombre, y en tu nombre echamos fuera demonios, y en tu nombre hicimos muchos milagros?"

"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord , Lord , did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?'
23 Y entonces les declararé: "Jamás os conocí; APARTAOS DE MI, LOS QUE PRACTICAIS LA INIQUIDAD."

"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.'
24 Por tanto, cualquiera que oye estas palabras mías y las pone en práctica, será semejante a un hombre sabio que edificó su casa sobre la roca;

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.
25 y cayó la lluvia, vinieron los torrentes, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa; pero no se cayó, porque había sido fundada sobre la roca.

"And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.
26 Y todo el que oye estas palabras mías y no las pone en práctica, será semejante a un hombre insensato que edificó su casa sobre la arena;

"Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
27 y cayó la lluvia, vinieron los torrentes, soplaron los vientos y azotaron aquella casa; y cayó, y grande fue su destrucción.

"The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell -and great was its fall."
28 Cuando Jesús terminó estas palabras, las multitudes se admiraban de su enseñanza;

When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching;
29 porque les enseñaba como uno que tiene autoridad, y no como sus escribas.

for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
