Psalm 24

1 <<A Psalm by David.>> The eretz is the LORD's, with its fullness; The world, and those who dwell therein.

1 God claims Earth and everything in it, God claims World and all who live on it.

2 For he has founded it on the seas, And established it on the floods.

2 He built it on Ocean foundations, laid it out on River girders.

3 Who may ascend to the LORD's hill? Who may stand in his holy place?

3 Who can climb Mount God? Who can scale the holy north-face?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart; Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, And has not sworn deceitfully.

4 Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; Men who won't cheat, women who won't seduce.

5 He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, Righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5 God is at their side; with God's help they make it.

6 This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek your face -- even Ya`akov. Selah.

6 This, Jacob, is what happens to God-seekers, God-questers.

7 Lift up your heads, you gates; Be lifted up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in.

7 Wake up, you sleepyhead city! Wake up, you sleepyhead people! King-Glory is ready to enter.

8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.

8 Who is this King-Glory? God, armed and battle-ready.

9 Lift up your heads, you gates; Yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors: The King of glory will come in.

9 Wake up, you sleepyhead city! Wake up, you sleepyhead people! King-Glory is ready to enter.

10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of Hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

10 Who is this King-Glory? God of the angel armies: he is King-Glory.
