Genesis 42:27

And as one of them opened his sack
According to the Targum of Jonathan and Jarchi, this was Levi; but Aben Ezra thinks it is more likely to be Reuben the firstborn, who was one, that is, the first of them: to give his ass provender in the inn;
at which they lay very probably the first night of their journey; a good man regards the life of his beast, and takes care of that as well as of himself, and generally in the first place: he espied his money;
the money which he paid for his corn: for, behold, it [was] in his sack's mouth;
just as he opened it.

25 Poi Giuseppe ordinò che s’empissero di grano i loro sacchi, che si rimettesse il danaro di ciascuno nel suo sacco, e che si dessero loro delle provvisioni per il viaggio. E così fu fatto.

26 Ed essi caricarono il loro grano sui loro asini, e se ne andarono.

27 Or l’un d’essi aprì il suo sacco per dare del foraggio al suo asino, nel luogo ove pernottavano, e vide il suo danaro ch’era alla bocca del sacco;

28 e disse ai suoi fratelli: "Il mio danaro m’è stato restituito, ed eccolo qui nel mio sacco". Allora il cuore venne lor meno, e, tremando, dicevano l’uno all’altro: "Che è mai questo che Dio ci ha fatto?"

29 E vennero a Giacobbe, loro padre, nel paese di Canaan, e gli raccontarono tutto quello ch’era loro accaduto, dicendo:
