6 E tu, Pashur, e tutti quelli che abitano in casa tua, andrete in cattività; tu andrai a Babilonia, e quivi morrai, e quivi sarai sepolto, tu, con tutti i tuoi amici, ai quali hai profetizzato menzogne".

Jeremiah 20:6

And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house, shall go
into captivity
Particularly he and his family should not escape; whoever did: and thou shalt come to Babylon;
being brought there, though sore against his will: and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there;
even in a defiled land, as all other countries were reckoned by the Jews; and to be buried in such a land, Kimchi observes, was a curse; and so it is here threatened as such: thou, and all thy friends;
that is, such as should escape the sword, ( Jeremiah 20:4 ) ; to whom thou hast prophesied lies;
this shows the cause of; all this threatened destruction to him and his friends; not only because he had so ill used Jeremiah, a true prophet of the Lord; but because he was a false prophet, and his friends had hearkened to his lies, and disbelieved those prophecies that came from the Lord himself.

4 Poiché così parla l’Eterno: Io ti renderò un oggetto di terrore a te stesso e a tutti i tuoi amici; essi cadranno per la spada dei loro nemici, e i tuoi occhi lo vedranno; e darò tutto Giuda in mano del re di Babilonia, che li menerà in cattività in Babilonia, e li colpirà con la spada.

5 E darò tutte le ricchezze di questa città e tutto il suo guadagno e tutte le sue cose preziose, darò tutti i tesori dei re di Giuda in mano dei loro nemici che ne faranno lor preda, li piglieranno, e li porteranno via a Babilonia.

6 E tu, Pashur, e tutti quelli che abitano in casa tua, andrete in cattività; tu andrai a Babilonia, e quivi morrai, e quivi sarai sepolto, tu, con tutti i tuoi amici, ai quali hai profetizzato menzogne".

7 Tu m’hai persuaso, o Eterno, e io mi son lasciato persuadere, tu m’hai fatto forza, e m’hai vinto; io son diventato ogni giorno un oggetto di scherno, ognuno si fa beffe di me.

8 Poiché ogni volta ch’io parlo, grido, grido: "Violenza e saccheggio!" Sì, la parola dell’Eterno è per me un obbrobrio, uno scherno d’ogni giorno.
