13 E farò venire su quel paese tutte le cose che ho annunziate contro di lui, tutto ciò ch’è scritto in questo libro, ciò che Geremia ha profetizzato contro tutte le nazioni.

Jeremiah 25:13

And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have
pronounced against it
By his prophets, and particularly by Jeremiah, as follows; for not one word that is spoken by the Lord, either in a way of promise or threatening, shall fail; his truth, power, and faithfulness, are engaged to accomplish all: [even] all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath
prophesied against all the nations;
the Egyptians, Philistines, Moabites, Edomites, Arabians, Persians, and also the Babylonians, in ( Jeremiah 46:1-51:64 ) , which prophecies, in the Greek version, immediately follow here, though in a confused manner; where some have thought they might be more regularly placed than as they are in the Hebrew copies, at the end of the book; but of this there seems to be no absolute necessity.

11 E tutto questo paese sarà ridotto in una solitudine e in una desolazione, e queste nazioni serviranno il re di Babilonia per settant’anni.

12 Ma quando saran compiuti i settant’anni, io punirò il re di Babilonia e quella nazione, dice l’Eterno, a motivo della loro iniquità, e punirò il paese de’ Caldei, e lo ridurrò in una desolazione perpetua.

13 E farò venire su quel paese tutte le cose che ho annunziate contro di lui, tutto ciò ch’è scritto in questo libro, ciò che Geremia ha profetizzato contro tutte le nazioni.

14 Infatti, nazioni numerose e re potenti ridurranno in servitù i Caldei stessi; io li retribuirò secondo le loro azioni, secondo l’opera delle loro mani.

15 Poiché così m’ha parlato l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele: Prendi di mano mia questa coppa del vino della mia ira, e danne a bere a tutte le nazioni alle quali ti manderò.
