22 E Giosuè disse ai due uomini che aveano esplorato il paese: "Andate in casa di quella meretrice, menatela fuori con tutto ciò che le appartiene, come glielo avete giurato".

Joshua 6:22

But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the
country
Whom he had sent on that errand, ( Joshua 2:1 ) ; and what follows he had said unto them before the people entered into the city, and perhaps before the walls of it fell; and indeed from ( Joshua 6:16 Joshua 6:17 ) , it appears to have been said at the time he gave the people orders to shout:

go into the harlot's house:
he does not mention her name but they full well knew who he meant:

and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath;
not so much her substance, as her father's household, she had got together there, that they might be saved, as had been promised her:

as ye sware unto her;
so that this order was partly on account of her kindness to them, ( Joshua 6:17 ) ; and partly on account of the oath which they had taken, and which Joshua would have inviolably kept.

20 Il popolo dunque gridò e i sacerdoti sonaron le trombe; e avvenne che quando il popolo ebbe udito il suono delle trombe diè in un gran grido, e le mura crollarono. Il popolo salì nella città, ciascuno diritto davanti a sé, e s’impadronirono della città.

21 E votarono allo sterminio tutto ciò che era nella città, passando a fil di spada, uomini, donne, fanciulli e vecchi, e buoi e pecore e asini.

22 E Giosuè disse ai due uomini che aveano esplorato il paese: "Andate in casa di quella meretrice, menatela fuori con tutto ciò che le appartiene, come glielo avete giurato".

23 E que’ giovani che aveano esplorato il paese entrarono nella casa, e ne fecero uscire Rahab, suo padre, sua madre, i suoi fratelli e tutto quello che le apparteneva; ne fecero uscire anche tutte le famiglie de’ suoi, e li collocarono fuori del campo d’Israele.

24 Poi i figliuoli d’Israele diedero fuoco alla città e a tutto quello che conteneva; presero soltanto l’argento, l’oro e gli oggetti di rame e di ferro, che misero nel tesoro della casa dell’Eterno.
