Isaiah 1:14

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth,
&c.] The Targum is,

``my Word abhorreth;''
the Messiah, the essential Word. These are the same as before. They are a trouble unto me;
as they were kept and observed, either when they should not, or in a manner unbecoming: I am weary to bear [them];
because of the sins with which they made him to serve, ( Isaiah 43:24 ) .

12 Quando venite a presentarvi nel mio cospetto, chi v’ha chiesto di calcare i mie cortili?
13 Cessate dal recare oblazioni vane; il profumo io l’ho in abominio; e quanto ai noviluni, ai sabati, al convocar raunanze, io non posso soffrire l’iniquità unita all’assemblea solenne.

15 Quando stendete le mani, io rifiuto di vederlo; anche quando moltiplicate le preghiere, io non ascolto; le vostre mani son piene di sangue.
16 Lavatevi, purificatevi, togliete d’innanzi agli occhi miei la malvagità delle vostre azioni; cessate del far il male;
