Mark 12:5

And again he sent another
That is, another servant, or set of men, it may be in the times of the Maccabees, who were used in a very inhuman manner; see ( Hebrews 11:37 Hebrews 11:38 ) ;

and him they killed;
either with the sword, or by inflicting some capital punishment, as stoning, strangling

and many others;
that is, either the owner of the vineyard sent many other servants, or the husbandmen ill used many others that were sent to them:

beating some;
with their hands, or with scourges;

and killing some;
in one or other of the above ways.

4 Ed egli di nuovo mandò loro un altro servitore; e anche lui ferirono nel capo e vituperarono.

5 Ed egli ne mandò un altro, e anche quello uccisero; e poi molti altri, de’ quali alcuni batterono ed alcuni uccisero.

6 Aveva ancora un unico figliuolo diletto; e quello mandò loro per ultimo, dicendo: Avranno rispetto al mio figliuolo.

7 Ma que’ lavoratori dissero fra loro: Costui è l’erede; venite, uccidiamolo, e l’eredità sarà nostra.
