2 Samuel 19:4

But the king covered his face
And would not see his generals, and thank them for their services: but wrapped himself in his mantle, after the manner of mourners:

and the king cried with a loud voice, O my son Absalom! O Absalom, my
son, my son!
and this was some time, perhaps some days after he had received the news of his death, since Joab and the army were returned from the battle; had it been a sudden start of passion, upon first hearing thee news, and had continued a few hours, it would have been more excusable; but to continue some days, as it is very probable it did, was very unbecoming.

2 Y se volvi贸 aquel d铆a la salud en luto para todo el pueblo; porque oy贸 decir el pueblo aquel d铆a que el rey ten铆a dolor por su hijo.
3 Se entr贸 el pueblo aquel d铆a en la ciudad escondidamente, como suele entrar a escondidas el pueblo avergonzado que ha huido de la batalla.
4 Mas el rey, cubierto el rostro, clamaba en alta voz: 隆Hijo m铆o Absal贸n, Absal贸n, hijo m铆o, hijo m铆o!
5 Y entrando Joab en casa del rey, le dijo: Hoy has avergonzado el rostro de todos tus siervos, que han hoy librado tu vida, y la vida de tus hijos y de tus hijas, y la vida de tus mujeres, y la vida de tus concubinas,
6 amando a los que te aborrecen, y aborreciendo a los que te aman; porque hoy has declarado que no estimas tus pr铆ncipes y siervos; porque yo entiendo hoy que si Absal贸n viviera, y todos nosotros todos estuvi茅ramos muertos hoy, entonces esto ser铆a recto en tus ojos.
