Daniel 2:12

For this cause the king was angry, and very furious
Not only because they could not tell his dream, and the interpretation of it; but because they represented him as requiring a thing unreasonable and impossible, which had never been done by any potentate but himself, and could never be answered but by the gods: this threw him into an excess of wrath and fury; which in those tyrannical and despotic princes was exceeding great and terrible: and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon;
not only those that were now in his presence, but all others; concluding from this instance that they were an useless set of men, yea, deceivers and impostors.

10 Los caldeos respondieron delante del rey, y dijeron: No hay hombre sobre la tierra que pueda declarar el negocio del rey. Adem谩s de esto, ning煤n rey, pr铆ncipe, ni se帽or, pregunt贸 cosa semejante a ning煤n mago, ni astr贸logo, ni caldeo.
11 Finalmente, el negocio que el rey demanda, es singular, ni hay quien lo pueda declarar delante del rey, salvo los 谩ngeles de Dios cuya morada no es con la carne.
12 Por esto el rey con ira y con gran enojo, mand贸 que matasen a todos los sabios de Babilonia.
13 Y se public贸 el mandamiento y los sabios eran llevados a la muerte y buscaron a Daniel y a sus compa帽eros para matarlos.
14 Entonces Daniel habl贸 avisada y prudentemente a Arioc, capit谩n de los de la guardia del rey, que hab铆a salido para matar a los sabios de Babilonia.
