Apparently Peter was frustrated when he asked Jesus, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother?” Forgiveness is an integral part of Christian experience; so Peter was right to ask for help. Many of us need help with forgiveness, too.

We’re working our way through the gospel of Matthew.  And today we plan to cover more ground in chapter eighteen.  They’re some of the hardest words to say, “I forgive you!”  Especially after you’ve experienced great hurt.   But when you do forgive, you’re never more like Jesus, who forgave us a debt that we could never pay.  We’ll spend some time talking about the power of forgiveness and why we’re to follow in the Lord’s footsteps by forgiving others.
