3Blessed is he that readeth , and they that hear the words of this prophecy, andkeep those things which are writtentherein : for the time is at hand.4John to the sevenchurcheswhich are inAsia:Grace be unto you, andpeace, from him whichis , andwhichwas , andwhich is to come ; andfrom the sevenSpiritswhicharebeforehisthrone;5AndfromJesusChrist, who is the faithfulwitness, and the first begottenof the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that lovedus, andwashedusfromoursinsin his ownblood,6And hath madeuskingsandpriests unto GodandhisFather; to him be gloryanddominionforever and ever.Amen.7Behold , he comethwithclouds;andeveryeye shall seehim, and they also whichpiercedhim:andallkindreds of the earth shall wailbecause of him. Even so,Amen.8IamAlphaandOmega, the beginningand the ending, saith the Lord, whichis , andwhichwas , andwhich is to come , the Almighty.9IJohn,whoalso am yourbrother, andcompanionintribulation, andin the kingdomandpatience of JesusChrist, wasin the isle that is calledPatmos, for the word of God,andfor the testimony of JesusChrist.10
I wasin the Spiriton the Lord'sday, andheardbehindme a greatvoice,as of a trumpet,11Saying , IamAlphaandOmega, the firstand the last:and,What thou seest , writein a book, andsend it unto the sevenchurcheswhich are inAsia;untoEphesus,anduntoSmyrna,anduntoPergamos,anduntoThyatira,anduntoSardis,anduntoPhiladelphia,anduntoLaodicea.12And I turned to see the voicethatspakewithme. And being turned , I sawsevengoldencandlesticks;13Andin the midst of the sevencandlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, andgirtabout the paps with a goldengirdle.14Hisheadand his hairs were whitelikewool, as whiteassnow;andhiseyes were as a flame of fire;15Andhisfeetlike unto fine brass,as if they burnedin a furnace;andhisvoiceas the sound of manywaters.16And he hadinhisrighthandsevenstars:and out ofhismouthwent a sharptwoedgedsword:andhiscountenance was as the sunshinethinhisstrength.17Andwhen I sawhim, I fellathisfeetasdead. And he laidhisrighthanduponme, saying unto me,Fearnot;Iam the firstand the last:18I am he that liveth , andwasdead;and, behold , I amaliveforevermore , Amen;andhave the keys of helland of death.19Write the things which thou hast seen , and the things whichare , and the things whichshallbehereafter ;20The mystery of the sevenstarswhich thou sawestinmy right hand, and the sevengoldencandlesticks. The sevenstarsare the angels of the sevenchurches:and the sevencandlestickswhich thou sawestare the sevenchurches.
