27 Entonces el rey Roboam hizo escudos de bronce en su lugar, y los entreg贸 al cuidado de los jefes de la guardia que custodiaban la entrada de la casa del rey.

1 Kings 14:27

And King Rehoboam made in their stead brazen shields
For the king of Egypt had so stripped him of his gold, that he was not able to replace golden ones:

and committed them into the hands of the chief of the guard;
or "runners" F16, that went before the king, or attended him as his bodyguard when he went abroad:

which kept the door of the king's house;
which kept guard night and day in their turns.

25 Y sucedi贸 que en el quinto a帽o del rey Roboam, Sisac, rey de Egipto, subi贸 contra Jerusal茅n.
26 Y tom贸 los tesoros de la casa del SE脩OR y los tesoros del palacio del rey; se apoder贸 de todo, llev谩ndose aun todos los escudos de oro que hab铆a hecho Salom贸n.
27 Entonces el rey Roboam hizo escudos de bronce en su lugar, y los entreg贸 al cuidado de los jefes de la guardia que custodiaban la entrada de la casa del rey.
28 Y suced铆a que cuando el rey entraba en la casa del SE脩OR, los de la guardia los llevaban; despu茅s los devolv铆an a la sala de los de la guardia.
29 Los dem谩s hechos de Roboam y todo lo que hizo, 驴no est谩n escritos en el libro de las Cr贸nicas de los reyes de Jud谩?
