1 John 3:11-15

Listen to 1 John 3:11-15

Love's Imperative

11 For this is the message you have heard from the beginning: we should love one another,
12 unlike Cain, who was of the evil one and murdered[a] his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were evil, and his brother's were righteous.
13 Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.
14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.
15 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

Love, Don't Hate Part 1
Love, Don't Hate Part 1
Jeff Johnson

Would you best be described as a loving person, or full of hate?  Pastor Jeff Johnson says how you answer that says a lot about your spiritual condition.  Today on Sound Doctrine we’ll learn why the Christian is to follow God’s lead by loving other people.  We’ll contrast that with murder and hatred, something that was clearly apparent in the life of Cain.  So turn with us to First John chapter three as we’re exhorted to love and not hate!
