27 約 瑟 問 他 們 好 ， 又 問 ： 『 你 們 的 父 親 ─ 就 是 你 們 所 說 的 那 老 人 家 平 安 嗎 ？ 他 還 在 嗎 ？ 』

Genesis 43:27

And he asked them of [their] welfare
Or "peace" ^F2, their prosperity, especially of the health of their bodies, whether they were well and in good health after so long a journey: and said, [is] your father well, the old man of whom ye spake?
when they were with him before, and told him they were all the sons of one man, who dwelt in Canaan: [is] he yet alive?
which he was very desirous of knowing; for, being advanced in years, he might fear he was removed by death in the time between their going and returning.

25 他 們 就 預 備 那 禮 物 ， 等 候 約 瑟 晌 午 來 ， 因 為 他 們 聽 見 要 在 那 裡 吃 飯 。

26 約 瑟 來 到 家 裡 ， 他 們 就 把 手 中 的 禮 物 拿 進 屋 去 給 他 ， 又 俯 伏 在 地 ， 向 他 下 拜 。

27 約 瑟 問 他 們 好 ， 又 問 ： 『 你 們 的 父 親 ─ 就 是 你 們 所 說 的 那 老 人 家 平 安 嗎 ？ 他 還 在 嗎 ？ 』

28 他 們 回 答 說 ： 『 你 僕 人 ─ 我 們 的 父 親 平 安 ； 他 還 在 。 』 於 是 他 們 低 頭 下 拜 。

29 約 瑟 舉 目 看 見 他 同 母 的 兄 弟 便 雅 憫 ， 就 說 ： 『 你 們 向 我 所 說 那 頂 小 的 兄 弟 就 是 這 位 嗎 ？ 』 又 說 ： 『 小 兒 啊 ， 願 　 神 賜 恩 給 你 ! 』
