14 王 如 此 說 ： 你 們 不 要 被 希 西 家 欺 哄 了 ， 因 他 不 能 拯 救 你 們 。

Isaiah 36:14

Thus saith the king
The king of Assyria, whom he personated, whose general and ambassador he was; so he spake to command the greater awe of the people, and the more to terrify them: let not Hezekiah deceive you;
with fair words, promising protection and safety, making preparations for the defence of the city, and to oblige the besiegers to break up the siege of it: for he shall not be able to deliver you;
but if he was not, his God, whom he served, and in whom he trusted, was able to deliver them, and did deliver them; though he endeavoured to dissuade them from trusting in him, or hearkening to Hezekiah's persuasions thereunto, as in the following verse.

12 拉 伯 沙 基 說 ： 我 主 差 遣 我 來 ， 豈 是 單 對 你 和 你 的 主 說 這 些 話 麼 ？ 不 也 是 對 這 些 坐 在 城 上 、 要 與 你 們 一 同 吃 自 己 糞 喝 自 己 尿 的 人 說 麼 ？

13 於 是 ， 拉 伯 沙 基 站 著 ， 用 猶 大 言 語 大 聲 喊 著 說 ： 你 們 當 聽 亞 述 大 王 的 話 。

14 王 如 此 說 ： 你 們 不 要 被 希 西 家 欺 哄 了 ， 因 他 不 能 拯 救 你 們 。

15 也 不 要 聽 希 西 家 使 你 們 倚 靠 耶 和 華 說 ： 耶 和 華 必 要 拯 救 我 們 ， 這 城 必 不 交 在 亞 述 王 的 手 中 。

16 不 要 聽 希 西 家 的 話 ， 因 亞 述 王 如 此 說 ： 你 們 要 與 我 和 好 。 出 來 投 降 我 ， 各 人 就 可 以 吃 自 己 葡 萄 樹 和 無 花 果 樹 的 果 子 ， 喝 自 己 井 裡 的 水 。
