1 Yēhéhuá duì Móxī shuō , nǐ gàosu Yàlún zǐsūn zuò jìsī de shuō , jìsī bùkĕ wéi mín zhōng de sǐ rén zhānrǎn zìjǐ ,

2 Chúfēi wéi tā gǔròu zhī qīn de fùmǔ , érnǚ , dìxiōng ,

3 Hé wèicéng chūjià , zuò chǔnǚ de zǐ meì , cái kĕyǐ zhānrǎn zìjǐ .

4 Jìsī jì zaì mín zhōng wéi shǒu , jiù bùkĕ cóng sú zhānrǎn zìjǐ .

5 Bùkĕ shǐ tóu guāng tū , bùkĕ tì chú hú xū de zhōuwéi , yĕ bùkĕ yòng dāo huà shēn .

6 Yào guī shén wéi shèng , bùkĕ xièdú shén de míng , yīnwei Yēhéhuá de huǒ jì , jiù shì shén de shíwù , shì tāmen xiàn de , suǒyǐ tāmen yào chéngwéi shèng .

7 Bùkĕ qǔ jìnǚ huò beì wū de nǚrén wéi qì , yĕ bùkĕ qǔ beì xiū de fùrén wéi qì , yīnwei jìsī shì guī shén wéi shèng .

8 Suǒyǐ nǐ yào shǐ tā chéng shèng , yīnwei tā fèng xiàn nǐ shén de shíwù , nǐ yào yǐ tā wéi shèng , yīnwei wǒ shǐ nǐmen chéng shèng de Yēhéhuá shì shèng de .

9 Jìsī de nǚér ruò xíng yín rǔ mò zìjǐ , jiù rǔ mò le fùqin , bì yòng huǒ jiàng tā fùnshāo .

10 Zaì dìxiōng zhōng zuò Dàjìsī , tóu shàng dǎo le gāo yóu , yòu chéngjiē shèng zhí , chuān le shèng yī de , bùkĕ péng tóu sǎn fā , yĕ bùkĕ sī liè yīfu .

11 Bùkĕ āijìn sǐ shī , yĕ bùkĕ wéi fùmǔ zhānrǎn zìjǐ .

12 Bùkĕ chū shèng suǒ , yĕ bùkĕ xièdú shén de shèng suǒ , yīnwei shén gāo yóu de guānmiǎn zaì tā tóu shàng . wǒ shì Yēhéhuá .

13 Tā yào qǔ chǔnǚ wéi qì .

14 Guǎfu huò shì beì xiū de fùrén , huò shì beì wū wéi jì de nǚrén , dōu bùkĕ qǔ , zhǐ kè qǔ bĕn mín zhōng de chǔnǚ wéi qì .

15 Bùkĕ zaì mín zhōng rǔ mò tāde érnǚ , yīnwei wǒ shì jiào tā chéng shèng de Yēhéhuá .

16 Yēhéhuá duì Móxī shuō ,

17 Nǐ gàosu Yàlún shuō , nǐ shì shìdaì daì de hòuyì , fán yǒu cánji de , dōu bùkĕ jìn qián lái xiàn tā shén de shíwù .

18 Yīnwei fán yǒu cánji de , wúlùn shì xiāyǎn de , quètuǐ de , tā bízi de , zhī tǐ yǒuyú de ,

19 Zhē jiǎo zhē shǒu de ,

20 Tuó beì de , ǎi cuó de , yǎnjing yǒu maó bìng de , zhǎng xuǎn de , zhǎng jiè de , huò shì súnhuaì shèn zǐ de , dōu bùkĕ jìn qián lái .

21 Jìsī Yàlún de hòuyì , fán yǒu cánji de , dōu bùkĕ jìn qián lái , jiàng huǒ jì xiàn gĕi Yēhéhuá . tā yǒu cánji , bùkĕ jìn qián lái xiàn shén de shíwù .

22 Shén de shíwù , wúlùn shì shèng de , zhì shèng de , tā dōu kĕyǐ chī .

23 Dàn bùkĕ jìn dào mànzǐ qián , yĕ bùkĕ jiù jìn tán qián , yīnwei tā yǒu cánji , miǎndé xièdú wǒde shèng suǒ . wǒ shì jiào tā chéng shèng de Yēhéhuá .

24 Yúshì , Móxī xiǎoyù Yàlún hé Yàlún de zǐsūn , bìng Yǐsèliè zhòngrén .

Chapter 21

Laws concerning the priests.

- As these priests were types of Christ, so all ministers must be followers of him, that their example may teach others to imitate the Saviour. Without blemish, and separate from sinners, He executed his priestly office on earth. What manner of persons then should his ministers be! But all are, if Christians, spiritual priests; the minister especially is called to set a good example, that the people may follow it. Our bodily infirmities, blessed be God, cannot now shut us out from his service, from these privileges, or from his heavenly glory. Many a healthful, beautiful soul is lodged in a feeble, deformed body. And those who may not be suited for the work of the ministry, may serve God with comfort in other duties in his church.

INTRODUCTION TO LEVITICUS 21

This chapter respects the priests, the sons of Aaron, and forbids their mourning for the dead, unless in some cases, Le 21:1-6; or their marriage with an whore or a divorced woman, Le 21:7,8; and the daughters of any of them to commit fornication, which is made punishable with death, Le 21:9; and it contains particular laws for the high priest to observe, who was not to mourn for any, even for his parents, Le 21:10,11; nor to go out of the sanctuary, Le 21:12; nor to marry any woman but a virgin, Le 21:13-15; and it also directs, that none of the priests having any blemish in them should be employed in divine service, though they might eat of the holy things, Le 21:16-24.
