1 Samuel 25:27

And now this blessing, which thine handmaid hath brought unto
my lord
The present, consisting of the things mentioned in ( 1 Samuel 25:18 ) ; which came as a blessing from God, and with good will from her:

let it even be given unto the young men that follow my lord;
the servants of David: in the original it is, "that walk at the feet of my lord": and which the Targum paraphrases, "who minister before my lord"; and so Abigail's damsels are called "pedissequae", or "that walked at her feet", ( 1 Samuel 25:42 ) ; and with the Romans, in later times, servants were called a "pedibus" and "pedissequi" ^F4. This also is very artfully said, as if the present was not good enough for David, and worthy of his acceptance; might be agreeable to his men, and of service to them.

25 Wǒ zhǔ búyào lǐ zhè huaì rén ná bā , tāde xìngqíng yǔ tāde míng xiāngchèn . tā míng jiào ná bā ( jiù shì yú wán de yìsi ) , tā wéirén guǒrán yú wán . dàn wǒ zhǔ suǒ dǎfa de púrén , bìnǚ bìng méiyǒu kànjian .

26 Wǒ zhǔ a , Yēhéhuá jìrán zǔ zhǐ nǐ qīn shǒu bàochóu , qǔ liúxuè de zuì , suǒyǐ wǒ zhǐ zhe yǒngshēng de Yēhéhuá , yòu gǎn zaì nǐ miànqián qǐshì shuō , yuàn nǐde chóudí hé móu haì nǐde rén dōu xiàng ná bā yíyàng .

27 Rújīn qiú nǐ jiāng bìnǚ sòng lái de lǐwù gĕi gēnsuí nǐde púrén .

28 Qiú nǐ raóshù bìnǚ de zuì guō . Yēhéhuá bì wèi wǒ zhǔ jiànlì jiāngù de jiā , yīn wǒ zhǔ wèi Yēhéhuá zhēng zhàn . bìngqiĕ zaì nǐ píng shēng de rìzi chá bù chū yǒu shénme guō lái .

29 Suī yǒu rén qǐlai zhuībī nǐ , xún suǒ nǐde xìngméng , nǐde xìngméng què zaì Yēhéhuá nǐde shén nàli méng bǎohù , rú bāoguǒ bǎo qì yíyàng . nǐ chóudí de xìngméng , Yēhéhuá bì pāo qù , rú yòng jī xián shuǎi shí yíyàng .
