Luke 9:30

And behold there talked with him two men
Of great note and fame:

which were Moses and Elias;
the one the giver of the law from God to the people "of Israel", as well as the redeemer of them from Egyptian bondage, and who led them through the wilderness, to the borders of Canaan's land; and the other a prophet famous for his zeal for God, and his worship, and who was translated, soul and body, to heaven: these appeared and talked with Christ on the mount; and what they talked of is mentioned in the following verse; (See Gill on Matthew 17:3).

28 Es geschah aber bei acht Tagen nach diesen Worten, daß er Petrus und Johannes und Jakobus mitnahm und auf den Berg stieg, um zu beten.

29 Und indem er betete, wurde das Aussehen seines Angesichts anders und sein Gewand weiß, strahlend.

30 Und siehe, zwei Männer redeten mit ihm, welche Moses und Elias waren.

31 Diese erschienen in Herrlichkeit und besprachen seinen Ausgang, den er in Jerusalem erfüllen sollte.

32 Petrus aber und die mit ihm waren, waren beschwert vom Schlaf; als sie aber völlig aufgewacht waren, sahen sie seine Herrlichkeit und die zwei Männer, welche bei ihm standen.
