2 Kings 6:3

And one said, be content, I pray thee, and with thy servants,
&c.] Or be pleased to go with us; he begged it as a favour, that, being awed by his presence, they might preserve peace and order, and have his advice as to the spot of ground to erect their edifice on, and might be protected by him from harm and mischief by men or wild beasts:

and he answered, I will go;
he consented to it, knowing perhaps before hand that he should have an opportunity of working a miracle there, as he did.

1 Die Kinder der Propheten sprachen zu Elisa: Siehe, der Raum, da wir vor dir wohnen, ist uns zu enge.
2 Laß uns an den Jordan gehen und einen jeglichen daselbst Holz holen, daß wir uns daselbst eine Stätte bauen, da wir wohnen. Er sprach: Gehet hin!
3 Und einer sprach: Gehe lieber mit deinen Knechten! Er sprach: Ich will mitgehen.
4 Und er kam mit ihnen. Und da sie an den Jordan kamen hieben sie Holz ab.
5 Und da einer sein Holz fällte, fiel das Eisen ins Wasser. Und er schrie und sprach: O weh, mein Herr! dazu ist's entlehnt.
