30 O SENHOR, o seu Deus, que está indo à frente de vocês, lutará por vocês, diante de seus próprios olhos, como fez no Egito.

Deuteronomy 1:30

The Lord your God, which goeth before you
In a pillar of cloud by day, and in a pillar of fire by night:

he shall fight for you;
wherefore, though their enemies were greater and taller than they, yet their God was higher than the highest; and cities walled up to heaven would signify nothing to him, whose throne is in the heavens:

according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes:
which is observed to encourage their faith in God; for he that wrought such wonders in Egypt for them, which their eyes, at least some of them, and their fathers, however, had seen, what is it he cannot do?

28 Para onde iremos? Nossos compatriotas nos desanimaram quando disseram: “O povo é mais forte e mais alto do que nós; as cidades são grandes, com muros que vão até o céu. Vimos ali os enaquins”.’

29 “Então eu disse a vocês: Não fiquem apavorados; não tenham medo deles.

30 O SENHOR, o seu Deus, que está indo à frente de vocês, lutará por vocês, diante de seus próprios olhos, como fez no Egito.

31 Também no deserto vocês viram como o SENHOR, o seu Deus, os carregou, como um pai carrega seu filho, por todo o caminho que percorreram até chegarem a este lugar.

32 “Apesar disso, vocês não confiaram no SENHOR, o seu Deus,
