Jeremias 29:21

21 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, a respeito de Acabe, filho de Colaías, e a respeito de Zedequias, filho de Maaseias, que estão profetizando mentiras a vocês em meu nome: ‘Eu os entregarei nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, e ele os matará diante de vocês.

Jeremiah 29:21

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel
(See Gill on Jeremiah 29:4); of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which
prophesy a lie unto you:
two false prophets, of whom we have no account any where else but here; and are, no doubt, the prophets, or however two of them, that they of the captivity boasted of that God had raised unto them in Babylon, ( Jeremiah 29:15 ) . The Jews ^F3 say, and so Jerom relates, that these are the two elders that attempted the chastity of Susannah: behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of
Babylon:
they should be suffered to commit some crime against the state, of which notice should be given, and they should be seized as seditious persons; which was so permitted in providence, that they might be brought to punishment for other sins they were guilty of: and he shall slay them before your eyes;
by roasting them with fire: as follows:

20 “Ouçam, agora, a palavra do SENHOR, todos vocês exilados, que deportei de Jerusalém para a Babilônia!

21 Assim diz o SENHOR dos Exércitos, o Deus de Israel, a respeito de Acabe, filho de Colaías, e a respeito de Zedequias, filho de Maaseias, que estão profetizando mentiras a vocês em meu nome: ‘Eu os entregarei nas mãos de Nabucodonosor, rei da Babilônia, e ele os matará diante de vocês.

22 Em razão disso, os exilados de Judá que estão na Babilônia usarão esta maldição: “Que o SENHOR o trate como tratou Zedequias e Acabe, os quais o rei da Babilônia queimou vivos”.

23 Porque cometeram loucura em Israel: adulteraram com as mulheres de seus amigos e em meu nome falaram mentiras, que eu não ordenei que falassem. Mas eu estou sabendo; sou testemunha disso’, declara o SENHOR.
