12 As casas deles serão entregues a outros,com os seus campos e as suas mulheres,quando eu estender a minha mãocontra os que vivem nesta terra”,declara o SENHOR.

Jeremiah 6:12

And their houses shall be turned unto others
To strangers, to the Chaldeans; they shall be transferred unto them, come into their hands, and become their property: with their fields and wives together:
not only their houses and lands shall be taken away from them, and put to the use of others, but even their wives; than which nothing could be more distressing: for I will stretch out my hand upon the inhabitants of the land, saith
the Lord;
the inhabitants of the land of Judea; and so the Septuagint render it, "upon them that inhabit this land"; and so the Arabic version: wherefore, since the Lord would exert himself in this affair, and stretch out his hand of almighty power, as the Targum paraphrases it,

``I will lift up the stroke of my power;''

it might be depended upon that all this destruction threatened would come on them.

10 A quem posso eu falar ou advertir?Quem me escutará?Os ouvidos deles são obstinados,e eles não podem ouvir.A palavra do SENHOR é para eles desprezível,não encontram nela motivo de prazer.

11 Mas a ira do SENHOR dentro de mim transborda,já não posso retê-la.“Derrama-a sobre as crianças na ruae sobre os jovens reunidos em grupos;pois eles também serão pegos com os maridos e as mulheres,os velhos e os de idade bem avançada.

13 “Desde o menor até o maior,todos são gananciosos;profetas e sacerdotes igualmente,todos praticam o engano.

14 Eles tratam da ferida do meu povocomo se não fosse grave.‘Paz, paz’, dizem,quando não há paz alguma.
