Génesis 5:22-32

22 Y camin贸 Henoch con Dios, despu茅s que engendr贸 谩 Mathusalam, trescientos a帽os: y engendr贸 hijos 茅 hijas.
23 Y fueron todos los d铆as de Henoch trescientos sesenta y cinco a帽os.
24 Camin贸, pues, Henoch con Dios, y desapareci贸, porque le llev贸 Dios.
25 Y vivi贸 Mathusalam ciento ochenta y siete a帽os, y engendr贸 谩 Lamech.
26 Y vivi贸 Mathusalam, despu茅s que engendr贸 谩 Lamech, setecientos ochenta y dos a帽os: y engendr贸 hijos 茅 hijas.
27 Fueron, pues, todos los d铆as de Mathusalam, novecientos sesenta y nueve a帽os; y muri贸.
28 Y vivi贸 Lamech ciento ochenta y dos a帽os, y engendr贸 un hijo:
29 Y llam贸 su nombre No茅, diciendo: Este nos aliviar谩 de nuestras obras, y del tabajo de nuestras manos, 谩 causa de la tierra que Jehov谩 maldijo.
30 Y vivi贸 Lamech, despu茅s que engendr贸 谩 No茅, quinientos noventa y cinco a帽os: y engendr贸 hijos 茅 hijas.
31 Y fueron todos los d铆as de Lamech setecientos setenta y siete a帽os; y muri贸.
32 Y siendo No茅 de quinientos a帽os, engendr贸 谩 Sem, Ch芒m, y 谩 Japhet.

Génesis 5:22-32 Meaning and Commentary

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 5

This chapter contains a list or catalogue of the posterity of Adam in the line of Seth, down to Noah; it begins with a short account of the creation of Adam, and of his life and death, Ge 5:1-5 next of five of the antediluvian patriarchs, their age and death, namely Seth, Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Ge 5:6-20 then a particular relation of Enoch, his character and translation, Ge 5:21-24 then follows an account of Methuselah, the oldest man, and Lamech's oracle concerning his son Noah, Ge 5:12-29 and the chapter is closed with the life and death of Lamech, and the birth of the three sons of Noah, Ge 5:30-32.
