Proverbs 19:12-22

Listen to Proverbs 19:12-22
A king’s wrath is like 1the growling of a lion, but his 2favor is like 3dew on the grass.
4A foolish son is ruin to his father, and 5a wife’s quarreling is 6a continual dripping of rain.
7House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is 8from the Lord.
9Slothfulness casts into 10a deep sleep, and 11an idle person will suffer hunger.
Whoever 12keeps the commandment keeps his life; he who despises his ways will die.
13Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he 14will repay him for his 15deed.
16Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on 17putting him to death.
A man of great wrath will pay the penalty, for if you deliver him, you will only have to do it again.
Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in 18the future.
19Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but 20it is the purpose of the Lord 21that will stand.
What is desired in a man is steadfast love, and a poor man is better than a liar.
