Matthew 24:1-14

Listen to Matthew 24:1-14
1 Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
2 But he answered them, "You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another, that will not be thrown down."
3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?"
4 And Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.
5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places:
8 all this is but the beginning of the birth-pangs.
9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation, and put you to death; and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then many will fall away, and betray one another, and hate one another.
11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
12 And because wickedness is multiplied, most men's love will grow cold.
13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations; and then the end will come.

Birth Pains and the End of the Age
Birth Pains and the End of the Age
Dr. Jeff Schreve

Jesus said that before His return, the world would experience “birth pains”—signs that the end is drawing near. From spiritual deception to worldwide turmoil, these warnings are not meant to frighten us but to remind us to stay ready and faithful. In this eye-opening message from Matthew 24, Pastor Jeff explains what these signs mean, how close we might be to the Lord’s coming, and why true believers can look to the future with peace and confidence in Christ.

Olivet Discourse Part 1
Olivet Discourse Part 1

Has this thought crossed your mind in recent years… “We’re getting close to the end?” What does the Bible have to say about the time of the end? Are there signs to be looking for as that day approaches? In chapter twenty-four, Jesus gave some specific signs of His second coming and the end of the age to His disciples. He did this for some very good reasons. He wanted them to be ready, and He wanted them to know the truth, so they would not be deceived by false teachers.

These are the Signs that We're in the Last Days Part 2
These are the Signs that We're in the Last Days Part 2
James Kaddis

Today we’ll jump right back into our verse by verse study through the gospel of Matthew.  It’s Christmas time, and there are signs we look for that tell us it is here, like decorations and lights all over town and the growing lines at the Mall. There are also signs we should be aware of that tell us we are living in the last days before the return of Christ. Do you know what they are? Jesus tells us in Matthew twenty-four to know the signs and be prepared.
