"Now this is what you are to say to My servant David: 'This is what the Lord of Hosts says: I took you from the pasture and from following the sheep to be ruler over My people Israel.

Now, therefore, thus you shall say to my servant David, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel.

Now therefore so shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people, over Israel:

"So here is what you are to tell my servant David: The God-of-the-Angel-Armies has this word for you: I took you from the pasture, tagging along after sheep, and made you prince over my people Israel.

"Now therefore, thus you shall say to My servant David, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.

“Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

“Now go and say to my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD of Heaven’s Armies has declared: I took you from tending sheep in the pasture and selected you to be the leader of my people Israel.

Agora, pois, assim dirás ao meu servo Davi: Assim diz o Senhor dos exércitos: Eu te tomei da malhada, de detrás das ovelhas, para que fosses príncipe sobre o meu povo, sobre Israel;

Ahora pues, así dirás a mi siervo David: "Así dice el SEÑOR de los ejércitos: 'Yo te tomé del pastizal, de seguir las ovejas, para que fueras príncipe sobre mi pueblo Israel.

»Ahora ve y dile a mi siervo David: “Esto ha declarado el Señor de los Ejércitos Celestiales: te saqué de cuidar ovejas en los pastos y te elegí para que fueras el líder de mi pueblo Israel.

»Pues bien, dile a mi siervo David que así dice el SEÑORTodopoderoso: “Yo te saqué del redil para que, en vez de cuidar ovejas, gobernaras a mi pueblo Israel.

and now, thus dost thou say to My servant, to David: `Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, I have taken thee from the comely place, from after the flock, to be leader over My people, over Israel;
