We can learn so many things from Martin Luther. He stood up against a false teaching of salvation. His boldness enabled many people to understand true salvation in Christ. The Lord used him to start a movement of Biblical accuracy and living out a genuine repentant faith while knowing that salvation comes from Jesus’ grace alone, not our own works.

As I went back to the DMV for the third time recently, I was almost in tears over having to go back to that horrible place of long lines and a sea of personal documents. When I finally got everything done I could almost feel myself running out of the building for air. This got me thinking about how people give holiday gifts to police officers and firemen, but I have never heard of anyone going to bless the workers at the DMV.

We have a special role as believers to bless others in the name of Jesus, and this is a great time of year to do so for others. Today we are going to discuss five unique groups of people to bless this holiday season.

However, as believers, we are gifted with the Bible from God which teaches us and instructs us as women in every area of life, including marriage. Today we will study what does the Bible say about being a wife?

When we know the heart of God is gentle and lowly, when we know that He is Perfect Love, then we can know that anytime He is disappointed it is not out of hateful judgment, but out of a deep-rooted compassion towards wanting the best for us. It is His heart that desires the best for our lives that is only found in Him.

Many of us might have multiple Bibles in our homes that we do not think twice about the great value and privilege of having them. We may have gotten lax on our Scripture memory. We might even want to avoid spending time reading the Bible. Let this removal of the Bible app stir in our hearts a greater desire to speak against this when able, and to enjoy and learn more about the beautiful gift of having the Word of God in front of us.

Whether you are a Mary or a Martha, both women have incredible qualities and are equally loved by Jesus (John 11:5). Each woman learned different lessons from the Savior and welcomed Him in.

We see that the Lord called Bezalel by name. He selected Bezalel for a specific task. This connects to where the Bible tells us that we are God’s workmanship to do His work (Ephesians 2:10). How has Got gifted you? Has he fashioned you to have a certain skillset? Are you naturally talented in a specific area?

There are times in our weeks when we have to put aside our schedules to focus on the needs of others. We do this in the power of the Holy Spirit, not in our own strength. Jesus was never lazy, but He was also never a workaholic. We can learn from Him in the way that He cared for the needs of others.

Providing a safe place to give them a voice in their pain is a huge blessing. I am a fixer and I want to provide solutions, but in this kind of loss, there is not a “band-aid answer.” The best thing to do for a friend in this situation is to give her a place to share her heart and process her emotions.

Maybe you feel overwhelmed by trials and hardships lately. Perhaps you believe everything is going all wrong? We can have hope and confidence that even in difficulties, we can have strength in Christ. John 16:33 says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Even though it might seem mundane, anytime we look at trees, may we be in awe of the Creator. Let us rest in His presence, be empowered and live for Christ, remember that God sees us.

I believe that I cannot give an answer to this question for you personally. However, we can each examine the history and follow the conviction of the Spirit as we are making decisions. It all comes down to asking questions. Am I sinning by participating in a Halloween event? Am I causing others to sin by my choices? Can I confidently invite Jesus into what I am doing?

The patriarchal blessing is not supported by Scripture, therefore, God Himself does not encourage this act. The issue is a man-made rule has been created to give authority to a man.

God the Creator not only designed and brought us to life, he modeled to mankind and invited them into His work. Just as Adam was asked to name the animals, the Lord gives believers today a role to play in His kingdom work. We each have spiritual gifts and talents that we can use to point to the Image of Christ.
