Genesis 24:9

And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his
master
Or "then" or "therefore the servant", &c. ^F14 being satisfied of the nature and extent of his oath, and thoroughly understanding how he was to act upon it, readily took it by using this rite, (See Gill on Genesis 24:2); and sware to him concerning that matter;
of taking a wife to his son, engaging to do everything he had directed and enjoined him relative to it.

7 El SEÑOR, Dios de los cielos, que me tomó de la casa de mi padre y de la tierra donde nací, y que me habló y me juró, diciendo: "A tu descendencia daré esta tierra", El mandará su ángel delante de ti, y tomarás de allí mujer para mi hijo.

8 Si la mujer no quiere seguirte, quedarás libre de este mi juramento; sólo que no lleves allá a mi hijo.

9 Y el siervo puso la mano debajo del muslo de Abraham su señor, y le juró sobre este asunto.

10 Entonces el siervo tomó diez camellos de entre los camellos de su señor, y partió con toda clase de bienes de su señor en su mano; y se levantó y fue a Mesopotamia , a la ciudad de Nacor.

11 E hizo arrodillar a los camellos fuera de la ciudad junto al pozo de agua, al atardecer, a la hora en que las mujeres salen por agua,
