33 又 在 壇 上 擺 好 了 柴 ， 把 牛 犢 切 成 塊 子 放 在 柴 上 ， 對 眾 人 說 ： 你 們 用 四 個 桶 盛 滿 水 ， 倒 在 燔 祭 和 柴 上 ；

1 Kings 18:33

And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces,
and laid him on the wood
Just in such manner as sacrifices usually were:

and said, fill four barrels with water;
either from the brook Kishon, or, if that was dried up, from the sea; for both were near this mountain, and so to be had, though a time of drought:

and pour it on the burnt sacrifice;
that which was intended to be one:

and upon the wood:
wherewith it was to be burnt, and so made unfit for it; and which would make the miracle appear the greater, when fire came down and consumed it.

31 以 利 亞 照 雅 各 子 孫 支 派 的 數 目 ， 取 了 十 二 塊 石 頭 （ 耶 和 華 的 話 曾 臨 到 雅 各 說 ： 你 的 名 要 叫 以 色 列 ） ，

32 用 這 些 石 頭 為 耶 和 華 的 名 築 一 座 壇 ， 在 壇 的 四 圍 挖 溝 ， 可 容 穀 種 二 細 亞 ，

33 又 在 壇 上 擺 好 了 柴 ， 把 牛 犢 切 成 塊 子 放 在 柴 上 ， 對 眾 人 說 ： 你 們 用 四 個 桶 盛 滿 水 ， 倒 在 燔 祭 和 柴 上 ；

34 又 說 ： 倒 第 二 次 。 他 們 就 倒 第 二 次 ； 又 說 ： 倒 第 三 次 。 他 們 就 倒 第 三 次 。

35 水 流 在 壇 的 四 圍 ， 溝 裡 也 滿 了 水 。
