1 Shìbā nǚwáng tīngjian Suǒluómén yīn Yēhéhuá zhī míng suǒ dé de míngsheng , jiù lái yào yòng nán jiĕ de huà shì wèn Suǒluómén .

2 Gēnsuí tā dào Yēlùsǎlĕng de rén shén duō , yòu yǒu luòtuo tuó zhe xiāngliào , bǎoshí , hé xǔduō jīnzi . tā lái jiàn le Suǒluómén wáng , jiù bǎ xīnli suǒyǒude duì Suǒluómén dōu shuō chūlai .

3 Suǒluómén wáng jiāng tā suǒ wèn de dōu dá shàng le , méiyǒu yī gōu bù míngbai , bùnéng dá de .

4 Shìbā nǚwáng jiàn Suǒluómén dà yǒu zhìhuì , hé tā suǒ jiànzào de gōng shì ,

5 Xí shàng de zhēn xiū mĕiwèi , qún chén fēn liè ér zuò , púrén liǎng páng shì lì , yǐjí tāmende yīfu zhuāngshì hé jiǔ zhèng de yīfu zhuāngshì , yòu jiàn tā shàng Yēhéhuá diàn de táijiē ( huò zuò tā zaì Yēhéhuá diàn lǐ suǒ xiàn de Fánjì ) , jiù chàyì dé shén bù shǒu shĕ .

6 Duì wáng shuō , wǒ zaì bĕn guó lǐ suǒ tīngjian lún dào nǐde shì hé nǐde zhìhuì shízaì shì zhēn de .

7 Wǒ xiān bú xìn nàxiē huà , jízhì wǒ lái qīnyǎn jiàn le cái zhīdào rén suǒ gàosu wǒde hái bù dào yī bàn . nǐde zhìhuì hé nǐde fú fēn yuèguò wǒ suǒ tīngjian de fēngshēng .

8 Nǐde chén zǐ , nǐde púrén cháng shì lì zaì nǐ miànqián tīng nǐ zhìhuì de huà shì yǒu fú de .

9 Yēhéhuá nǐde shén shì yīngdāng chēngsòng de . tā xǐyuè nǐ , shǐ nǐ zuò Yǐsèliè de guó wèi . yīnwei tā yǒngyuǎn aì Yǐsèliè , suǒyǐ lì nǐ zuò wáng , shǐ nǐ bǐng gōng xíng yì .

10 Yúshì , Shìbā nǚwáng jiāng yī bǎi èr shí tā lián dé jīnzi hé bǎoshí , yǔ jí duō de xiāngliào , sòng gĕi Suǒluómén wáng . tā sòng gĕi wáng de xiāngliào , yǐhòu fèng lái de bú zaì yǒu zhèyàng duō .

11 Xīlán de chuán zhǐ cóng éfĕi yùn le jīnzi lái , yòu cóng éfĕi yùn le xǔduō tán xiāng mù ( huò zuò wū mù xià tóng ) hé bǎoshí lái .

12 Wáng yòng tán xiāng mù wèi Yēhéhuá diàn hé wánggōng zuò lán gǎn , yòu wèi gē chàng de rén zuò qín sè . yǐhòu zaì méiyǒu zhèyàng de tán xiāng mù jìn guó lái , yĕ méiyǒu rén kànjian guō , zhídào rújīn . )

13 Shìbā nǚwáng yīqiè suǒ yào suǒ qiú de , Suǒluómén wáng dōu sòng gĕi tā , Lìngwaì zhào zìjǐ de hòu yì kuìsòng tā . yúshì nǚwáng hé tā chénpú zhuǎn huí bĕn guó qù le .

14 Suǒluómén mĕi nián suǒ dé de jīnzi gōng yǒu liù bǎi liù shí liù tā lián dé .

15 Lìngwaì hái yǒu shāng rén hé zá zú de zhū wáng , yǔ guó zhōng de shĕng zhǎng , suǒ jìn de jīnzi . ( zá zú zaì lìdaì xià jiǔ zhāng shí sì jié zuò a là bǎi )

16 Suǒluómén wáng yòng chuí chūlai de jīnzi dá chéng dǎng pái èr bǎi miàn , mĕi miàn yòng jīnzi liù bǎi Shĕkèlè .

17 Yòu yòng chuí chūlai de jīnzi dá chéng dùnpái sān bǎi miàn , mĕi miàn yòng jīnzi sān mí nà , dōu fàng zaì Lìbānèn lín gōng lǐ .

18 Wáng yòng xiàng yá zhìzào yī gè bǎozuò , yòng jīng jīn bāoguǒ .

19 Bǎozuò yǒu liù céng táijiē , zuò de hòu bēi shì yuán de , liǎng páng yǒu fú shǒu , kàojìn fú shǒu yǒu liǎng gè shīzi zhàn lì .

20 Liù céng táijiē shàng yǒu shí èr gè shīzi zhàn lì , mĕi céng yǒu liǎng gè , zuǒbiān yī gè , yòubiān yī gè . zaì liè guó zhōng méiyǒu zhèyàng zuò de .

21 Suǒluómén wáng yīqiè de yìn qì dōu shì jīnzi de . Lìbānèn lín gōng lǐ de yīqiè qìmǐn dōu shì jīng jīn de . Suǒluómén nián jiān , yínzi suàn bú le shénme .

22 Yīnwei wáng yǒu Tāshī chuán zhǐ yǔ Xīlán de chuán zhǐ yītóng Háng hǎi , sān nián yī cì , zhuāng zǎi jīn yín , xiàng yá , yuán hóu , kǒng qiāo huí lái .

23 Suǒluómén wáng de cáibǎo yǔ zhìhuì shēng guō tiān xià de liè wáng .

24 Pǔ tiān xià de wáng dōu qiú jiàn Suǒluómén , yào tīng shén cìgĕi tā zhìhuì de huà .

25 Tāmen gè daì gòng wù , jiù shì jīnqì , yínqì , yīfu , jūn xiè , xiāngliào , Luómǎ , mĕi nián yǒu yídéng zhī lì .

26 Suǒluómén jùjí zhàn chē mǎ bīng , yǒu zhàn chē yī qiā sì bǎi liàng , mǎ bīng yī wàn èr qiā míng , ānzhì zaì tún chē de chéngyì hé Yēlùsǎlĕng , jiù shì wáng nàli .

27 Wáng zaì Yēlùsǎlĕng shǐ yínzi duō rú shítou , xiāng bǎi mù duō rú gāo yuán de sāngshū .

28 Suǒluómén de mǎ shì cóng Āijí daì lái de , shì wáng de shāng rén yī qún yī qún àn zhe déng jià mǎi lái de .

29 Cóng Āijí mǎi lái de chē , mĕi liàng jià yín liù bǎi Shĕkèlè , mǎ mĕi pǐ yī bǎi wǔ shí Shĕkèlè . Hèrén zhū wáng hé Yàlán zhū wáng suǒ mǎi de chē mǎ , yĕ shì àn zhè jiàzhí jīng tāmen shǒu mǎi lái de .

Chapter 10

The queen of Sheba's visit to Solomon. (1-13) Solomon's wealth. (14-29)

Verses 1-13 The queen of Sheba came to Solomon to hear his wisdom, thereby to improve her own. Our Saviour mentions her inquiries after God, by Solomon, as showing the stupidity of those who inquire not after God, by our Lord Jesus Christ. By waiting and prayer, by diligently searching the Scriptures, by consulting wise and experienced Christians, and by practising what we have learned, we shall be delivered from difficulties. Solomon's wisdom made more impression upon the queen of Sheba than all his prosperity and grandeur. There is a spiritual excellence in heavenly things, and in consistent Christians, to which no reports can do justice. Here the truth exceeded; and all who, through grace, are brought to commune with God, will say the one half was not told them of the pleasures and the advantages of wisdom's ways. Glorified saints, much more, will say of heaven, ( 1 Corinthians. 2:9 ) pronounced them happy that constantly attended Solomon. With much more reason may we say of Christ's servants, Blessed are they that dwell in his house; they will be still praising him. She made a noble present to Solomon. What we present to Christ, he needs not, but will have us do so to express our gratitude. The believer who has been with Jesus, will return to his station, discharge his duties with readiness, and from better motives; looking forward to the day when, being absent from the body, he shall be present with the Lord.

Verses 14-29 Solomon increased his wealth. Silver was nothing accounted of. Such is the nature of worldly wealth, plenty of it makes it the less valuable; much more should the enjoyment of spiritual riches lessen our esteem of all earthly possessions. If gold in abundance makes silver to be despised, shall not wisdom, and grace, and the foretastes of heaven, which are far better than gold, make gold to be lightly esteemed? See in Solomon's greatness the performance of God's promise, and let it encourage us to seek first the righteousness of God's kingdom. This was he, who, having tasted all earthly enjoyments, wrote a book, to show the vanity of all worldly things, the vexation of spirit that attends them, and the folly of setting our hearts upon them: and to recommend serious godliness, as that which will do unspeakably more to make us happy, that all the wealth and power he was master of; and, through the grace of God, it is within our reach.
