Mǎkĕfúyīn 13

1 Yēsū cóng diàn lǐ chūlai de shíhou , yǒu yī ge méntǔ duì tā shuō , fūzǐ , qǐng kàn , zhè shì hédĕng de shítou , hédĕng de diàn yǔ .

2 Yēsū duì tā shuō , nǐ kànjian zhè dà diàn yǔ ma . jiānglái zaì zhèlǐ méiyǒu yī kuaì shítou liú zaì shítou shang , bú beì chāihuǐ le .

3 Yēsū zaì Gǎnlǎnshān shang duì shèng diàn ér zuò . Bǐdé , Yǎgè , Yuēhàn , hé Āndéliè , ànàn de wèn tā shuō ,

4 Qǐng gàosu wǒmen , shénme shíhou yǒu zhèxie shì ne . zhè yīqiè shì , jiāng chéng de shíhou , yǒu shénme yùzhào ne .

5 Yēsū shuō , nǐmen yào jǐnshèn , miǎndé yǒu rén míhuò nǐmen .

6 Jiānglái yǒu hǎoxiē rén mào wǒde míng lái , shuō , wǒ shì Jīdū . bìngqiĕ yào míhuò xǔduō rén .

7 Nǐmen tīngjian dǎzhàng , hé dǎzhàng de fēngshēng , búyào jīnghuāng . zhèxie shì shì bìxū yǒude , zhǐshì mòqī hái méiyǒu dào .

8 Mín yào gōngdǎ mín , guó yào gōngdǎ guó , duō chù bì yǒu dìzhèn , jīhuāng . zhè dōu shì zāinàn de qǐtóu . ( zāinàn yuánwén zuò shēngchǎn zhī kǔ )

9 Dàn nǐmen yào jǐnshèn . yīnwei rén yào bǎ nǐmen jiāo gĕi Gōnghuì , bìngqiĕ nǐmen zaì gōngtáng lǐ yào shòu biāndǎ . yòu wèi wǒde yuángù , zhàn zaì zhūhóu yǔ jūnwáng miànqián , duì tāmen zuò jiànzhèng .

10 Ránér Fúyin bìxū xiān chuán gĕi wàn mín .

11 Rén bǎ nǐmen lā qù jiāo guān de shíhou , búyào yùxiān sīlǜ shuō shénme . dào nàshíhòu , cìgĕi nǐmen shénme huà , nǐmen jiù shuō shénme , yīnwei shuōhuà de bú shì nǐmen , nǎi shì Shènglíng .

12 Dìxiōng yào bǎ dìxiōng , fùqin yào bǎ érzi , sòng dào sǐdì . érnǚ yào qǐlai yǔ fùmǔ wèi dí , haì sǐ tāmen .

13 Bìngqiĕ nǐmen yào wèi wǒde míng , beì zhòngrén hèn wù , wéiyǒu rĕnnaì dàodǐ de , bìrán déjiù .

14 Nǐmen kànjian nà xíng huǐhuaì kĕ zēng de , zhàn zaì bùdàng zhàn de dìfang . ( dú zhè jīng de rén , xū yào huìyì ) nàshí zaì Yóutaì de , yīngdāng taó dào shān shang .

15 Zaì fáng shang de , búyào xià lái , yĕ búyào jìn qù ná jiā lǐ de dōngxi .

16 Zaì tián lǐ de , yĕ búyào huí qù qǔ yīshang .

17 Dāng nàxiē rìzi , huáiyùn de hé nǎiháizi de yǒu huò le .

18 Nǐmen yīngdāng qíqiú , jiào zhèxie shì bú zaì dōngtiān líndào .

19 Yīnwei zaì nàxiē rìzi bì yǒu zāinàn , zì cóng ) shén chuàngzào wànwù zhídào rújīn , bìng méiyǒu zhèyàng de zāinàn . hòulái yĕ bì méiyǒu .

20 Ruò bú shì zhǔ jiǎnshǎo nà rìzi , fán yǒu xuèqì de , zǒng méiyǒu yī ge déjiù de . zhǐshì wèi zhǔ de xuǎn mín , tā jiāng nà rìzi jiǎnshǎo le .

21 Nàshí ruò yǒu rén duì nǐmen shuō , kàn nǎ , Jīdū zaì zhèlǐ . huò shuō , Jīdū zaì nàli . nǐmen búyào xìn .

22 Yīnwei jiǎ Jīdū , jiǎ xiānzhī , jiāngyào qǐlai , xiǎn shénjī qí shì . tǎngruò néng xíng , jiù bǎ xuǎn mín míhuò le .

23 Nǐmen yào jǐnshèn . kàn nǎ , fán shì wǒ dōu yùxiān gàosu nǐmen le .

24 Zaì nàxiē rìzi , nà zāinàn yǐhòu , rìtou yào biàn hēi le , yuèliang yĕ bú fàng guāng ,

25 Zhòng xīng yào cóng tiān shang zhuìluò , tiān shì dōu yào zhèndòng .

26 Nàshí tāmen ( Mǎtaì èr shí sì zhāng sān shí jié zuò dì shang de wàn zú ) yào kànjian Rénzǐ yǒu dà nénglì , dà róngyào , jià yún jiànglín .

27 Tā yào chāiqiǎn tiānshǐ , bǎ tāde xuǎn mín , cóng sìfāng , cóng dìjí zhídào tiān biān , dōu zhāo jù le lái . ( fāng yuánwén zuò fēng )

28 Nǐmen kĕyǐ cóng wúhuāguǒ shù xué ge bǐfāng . dāng shùzhī fā nèn zhǎng yè de shíhou , nǐmen jiù zhīdào xiàtiān jìn le .

29 Zhèyàng , nǐmen jǐshí kànjian zhèxie shì chéngjiù , yĕ gāi zhīdào Rénzǐ jìn le , ( Rénzǐ huò zuò shén de guó ) zhèngzaì ménkǒu le .

30 Wǒ shízaì gàosu nǐmen , zhè shìdaì hái méiyǒu guò qù , zhèxie shì dōu yào chéngjiù .

31 Tiāndì yào feì qù . wǒde huà què bùnéng feì qù .

32 Dàn nà rìzi , nàshí chén , méiyǒu rén zhīdào , lián tiān shang de shǐzhĕ yĕ bù zhīdào , zǐ yĕ bù zhīdào , wéiyǒu fù zhīdào .

33 Nǐmen yào jǐnshèn , jǐngxǐng qídǎo , yīnwei nǐmen bù xiǎodé nà rìqī jǐshí lái dào .

34 Zhè shì zhèng rú yī gèrén líkāi bĕn jiā , jìjū waì bāng , bǎ quánbǐng jiāo gĕi púrén , fèn paì gèrén dāng zuò de gōng , yòu fēnfu kàn mén de jǐngxǐng .

35 Suǒyǐ nǐmen yào jǐngxǐng , yīnwei nǐmen bù zhīdào jiā zhǔ shénme shíhou lái , huò wǎnshang , huò bàn yè , huò jī jiào , huò zǎochen .

36 Kǒngpà tā hūrán lái dào , kànjian nǐmen shuì zhaó le .

37 Wǒ duì nǐmen suǒ shuō de huà , yĕ shì duì zhòngrén shuō , yào jǐngxǐng .

Mǎkĕfúyīn 13 Commentary

Chapter 13

The destruction of the temple foretold. (1-4) Christ's prophetic declaration. (5-13) Christ's prophecy. (14-23) His prophetic declarations. (24-27) Watchfulness urged. (28-37)

Verses 1-4 See how little Christ values outward pomp, where there is not real purity of heart. He looks with pity upon the ruin of precious souls, and weeps over them, but we do not find him look with pity upon the ruin of a fine house. Let us then be reminded how needful it is for us to have a more lasting abode in heaven, and to be prepared for it by the influences of the Holy Spirit, sought in the earnest use of all the means of grace.

Verses 5-13 Our Lord Jesus, in reply to the disciples' question, does not so much satisfy their curiosity as direct their consciences. When many are deceived, we should thereby be awakened to look to ourselves. And the disciples of Christ, if it be not their own fault, may enjoy holy security and peace of mind, when all around is in disorder. But they must take heed that they are not drawn away from Christ and their duty to him, by the sufferings they will meet with for his sake. They shall be hated of all men: trouble enough! Yet the work they were called to should be carried on and prosper. Though they may be crushed and borne down, the gospel cannot be. The salvation promised is more than deliverance from evil, it is everlasting blessedness.

Verses 14-23 The Jews in rebelling against the Romans, and in persecuting the Christians, hastened their own ruin apace. Here we have a prediction of that ruin which came upon them within less than forty years after this. Such destruction and desolation, that the like cannot be found in any history. Promises of power to persevere, and cautions against falling away, well agree with each other. But the more we consider these things, the more we shall see abundant cause to flee without delay for refuge to Christ, and to renounce every earthly object, for the salvation of our souls.

Verses 24-27 The disciples had confounded the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the world. This mistake Christ set right, and showed that the day of Christ's coming, and the day of judgment, shall be after that tribulation. Here he foretells the final dissolution of the present frame and fabric of the world. Also, the visible appearance of the Lord Jesus coming in the clouds, and the gathering together of all the elect to him.

Verses 28-37 We have the application of this prophetic sermon. As to the destruction of Jerusalem, expect it to come very shortly. As to the end of the world, do not inquire when it will come, for of that day and that hour knoweth no man. Christ, as God, could not be ignorant of anything; but the Divine wisdom which dwelt in our Saviour, communicated itself to his human soul according to the Divine pleasure. As to both, our duty is to watch and pray. Our Lord Jesus, when he ascended on high, left something for all his servants to do. We ought to be always upon our watch, in expectation of his return. This applies to Christ's coming to us at our death, as well as to the general judgment. We know not whether our Master will come in the days of youth, or middle age, or old age; but, as soon as we are born, we begin to die, and therefore we must expect death. Our great care must be, that, whenever our Lord comes, he may not find us secure, indulging in ease and sloth, mindless of our work and duty. He says to all, Watch, that you may be found in peace, without spot, and blameless.
