4 Wáng xiàng tāmen shuō , nǐmen yǐwéi zĕnyàng hǎo , wǒ jiù zĕnyàng xíng . yúshì wáng zhàn zaì chéng mén páng , jūn bīng huò bǎi huò qiā dì ái cì chū qù le .

2 Samuel 18:4

And the king said unto them, what seemeth you best I will do,
&c.] Which was an instance of great condescension in him; and it was his wisdom and prudence to yield to them at such a time as this, and especially as their sentiments were founded on affection and loyalty to him:

and the king stood by the gate side;
of the city of Mahanaim:

and all the people came out by hundreds, and by thousands;
and passed by him, to whom no doubt he gave his blessing and best wishes; and, as Abarbinel thinks, now it was he composed and said the twentieth psalm, "The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble" ( Psalms 20:1-9 ) .

2 Dàwèi dǎfa jūn bīng chū zhàn , fēn wéi sān duì , yī duì zaì Yuēyē shǒu xià , yī duì zaì xǐ lǔ yǎ de érzi , Yuēyē xiōngdi yà bǐ shāi shǒu xià , yī duì zaì Jiātè rén yǐ taì shǒu xià . Dàwèi duì jūn bīng shuō , wǒ bì yǔ nǐmen yītóng chū zhàn .

3 Jūn bīng què shuō , nǐ bùkĕ chū zhàn . ruò shì wǒmen taópǎo , dírén bì bù jiè yì . wǒmen zhèn wáng yī bàn , dírén yĕ bù jiè yì . yīnwei nǐ yī rén qiáng shì wǒmen wàn rén , nǐ bù rú zaì chéng lǐ yùbeì bāngzhu wǒmen .

5 Wáng zhǔfu Yuēyē , yà bǐ shāi , yǐ taì shuō , nǐmen yào wèi wǒde yuángù kuān dāi nà shàonián rén Yēshālóng . wáng wèi Yēshālóng zhǔfu zhòng jiāng de huà , bīng dōu tīngjian le .

6 Bīng jiù chū dào tiānyĕ yíng zhe Yǐsèliè rén , zaì Yǐfǎlián shùlín lǐ jiāo zhàn .
