Deuteronomy 8:17

And thou say in thine heart
These words are in connection with the former part of the ( Deuteronomy 8:14 ) :

and thou forget the Lord thy God;
the author and giver of all the good things enjoyed, and think within themselves, though they might not express it in words at length:

my power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth;
so ascribing that to themselves, their labour, and diligence, which ought to be ascribed to the bounty and blessing of God; see ( Hosea 12:8 ) .

15 Yǐn nǐ jīngguò nà dà ér kĕpà de kuàngyĕ , nàli yǒu huǒ shé , xiēzi , gān hàn wú shuǐ zhī dì . tā céng wéi nǐ shǐ shuǐ cóng jiānyìng de pánshí zhōng liú chūlai ,

16 Yòu zaì kuàngyĕ jiāng nǐ lièzǔ suǒ bú rènshi de mǎnǎ cìgĕi nǐ chī , shì yào kǔ liàn nǐ , shìyàn nǐ , jiào nǐ zhōngjiǔ xiǎng fú .

17 Kǒngpà nǐ xīnli shuō , zhè huò cái shì wǒ lìliang , wǒ nénglì de lái de .

18 Nǐ yào jìniàn Yēhéhuá nǐde shén , yīnwei de huò cái de lìliang shì tā gĕi nǐde , wéi yào jiāndéng tā xiàng nǐ lièzǔ qǐshì suǒ lì de yuē , xiàng jīnrì yíyàng .

19 Nǐ ruò wàngjì Yēhéhuá nǐde shén , suícóng bié shén , shìfèng jìngbaì , nǐmen bìdéng mièwáng . zhè shì wǒ jīnrì jǐngjiè nǐmen de .
