Shìshījì 7:2

2 Yēhéhuá duì Jīdiàn shuō , gēnsuí nǐde rén guō duō , wǒ bùnéng jiāng Mǐdiàn rén jiāo zaì tāmen shǒu zhōng , miǎndé Yǐsèliè rén xiàng wǒ kuā dà , shuō , shì wǒmen zìjǐ de shǒu jiù le wǒmen .

Judges 7:2

And the Lord said unto Gideon, the people that are with thee
are too many
It appears, by what follows, that there were 32,000 of them, which was but a small army to engage with one of 100,000 more than they; for such was the army of the Midianites and their associates, see ( Judges 8:10 ) but the people were too many, says the Lord,

for me to give the Midianites into their hands;
who would be apt to ascribe the victory to themselves, and not to the Lord; to their number, strength, and valour, and not to the hand of the Lord:

lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, mine own hand hath
saved me;
or glory over me, take the glory from me, and ascribe it to themselves, boasting that by their power and prowess they had obtained the victory.

1 Yé lù bā lì jiù shì Jīdiàn , tā hé yīqiè gēnsuí de rén zǎochen qǐlai , zaì hā lǜ quán páng ān yíng . Mǐdiàn yíng zaì tāmen bĕibiān de píngyuán , kàojìn Mólì gāng .

2 Yēhéhuá duì Jīdiàn shuō , gēnsuí nǐde rén guō duō , wǒ bùnéng jiāng Mǐdiàn rén jiāo zaì tāmen shǒu zhōng , miǎndé Yǐsèliè rén xiàng wǒ kuā dà , shuō , shì wǒmen zìjǐ de shǒu jiù le wǒmen .

3 Xiànzaì nǐ yào xiàng zhèxie rén xuāngào shuō , fán jùpà dǎnqiè de , kĕyǐ líkāi Jīliè shān huí qù . yúshì yǒu èr wàn èr qiā rén huí qù , zhǐ shèngxia yī wàn .

4 Yēhéhuá duì Jīdiàn shuō , rén háishì guō duō . nǐ yào daì tāmen xià dào shuǐ páng , wǒ hǎo zaì nàli wè nǐ shì shì tāmen . wǒ zhǐ diǎn shuí shuō , zhè rén kĕyǐ tóng nǐ qù , tā jiù kĕyǐ tóng nǐ qù . wǒ zhī diǎn shuí shuō , zhè rén bùkĕ tóng nǐ qù , tā jiù bùkĕ tóng nǐ qù .

5 Jīdiàn jiù daì tāmen xià dào shuǐ páng . Yēhéhuá duì Jīdiàn shuō , fán yòng shétou tiǎn shuǐ , xiàng gǒu tiǎn de , yào shǐ tā dān zhàn zaì yī chù . fán guì xià hē shuǐ de , yĕ yào shǐ tā dān zhàn zaì yī chù .
